The Resolution 67/234 B of the Arms Trade Treaty
The Resolution 67/234 B of the Arms Trade Treaty is a formal text adopted by the General Assembly. In the resolution, the General Assembly is recalling its resolutions 63/240, 64/48 and 66/518 as well as 67/234 A, in which the General Assembly decided to remain seized of the matter of the Arms Trade Treaty during its sixty-seventh session. The General Assembly, having considered the report of the Final United Nations Conference on the ATT as contained in document A/CONF.217/2013/2, declares to adopt the Arms Trade Treaty as contained in the annex to document A/CONF.217/2013/L.3; requests the Secretary-General to reflect the date of adoption of the Treaty by the General Assembly in the final sentence of the Treaty and to open it for signature on June 3, 2013. The General Assembly further calls upon all states to consider signing and becoming parties to the Treaty at the earliest possible date and requests the Secretary-General to report to the General Assembly at its sixty-eighth session on the status of signature and ratification of the Treaty. The resolution was adopted by the General Assembly on April 2, 2013.
